2. MLC User Site Induction
MLC User Site Induction details the requirements for working safely at the Muchea Livestock Centre. It has been designed for transporters, livestock agents and their staff, MLC Agents subcontractors carrying out operational activities and who need to undertake basic site induction training to commence working activities within the MLC.
This training also applies to persons within industry who carry out working functions that involve using the saleyard infrastructure eg: using the loading/unloading ramps and using penning areas, to undertakes livestock processing activities, also must successfully complete this site induction.
24/7 Access Cards are requests are only required for certain individuals requiring unrestricted access to site and can only be obtained after this induction is complete. Please note that a payment charge is applicable for all cards requested.
3. WAMIA Service Contractors
WAMIA Service Contractor Site Induction provides information and details on the site safety requirements applicable to contractors or businesses engaged directly by the Western Australian Meat Industry Authority.
Contractor and sub-contractor employees must each individually complete the site induction to ensure they have sufficient information to carry out work. The WAMIA Contractor WHS Handbook provides further details on the site rules, site information, contractor management and hazard/task specific instructions. The WHS Act and Regulations must be complied with at all times. WAMIA and their engaged contractors must work in a cooperative, consultative manner to ensure all duties related to health and safety are adequately met.
